How we write a treatment
A treatment is a promise. Here is what goes into ours and why we keep it to eight pages.

A treatment is the director’s pitch: what the film will feel like, who is in it and how it will be shot.
Ours are never longer than eight pages. We start with one sentence about the idea, then references, casting, locations and a rough shot list.
If the treatment needs more than eight pages to explain, the idea is not ready yet.
