I look for the moment people forget the camera is there.

Rita came to directing from documentary, and it shows: her brand films are patient, observed and built around real people. She has shot cold-water swimmers in the Atlantic, coffee roasters at four in the morning and a fishing village that votes on everything. She splits her year between Lisbon and London.
